They feature large, soft upright leaves that droop in a downward pattern and very closely resemble elephant's ears, hence their common name.
Elephant ears do best in part sun or shade- bright sun will often scorch their fragile leaves. Elephant ears make an outstanding addition to you containers, and are generally easy to care for. The bulbs can be dug up and stored over winter for future planting.
'Jack's Giant' is the largest available variety, with leaves reaching up to 5 feet long in one growing season if planted into the ground.
